Incident Reporting System
To ensure an effective uptake to their new Incident Reporting system, Changeworks provided Lifestyle Solutions with effective change management and training support for their geographically dispersed team. Following the completion of an Impact Assessment, a Change Champion Network was mobilised, to deliver training via a Train-the-Trainer approach. Changeworks also assisted with the development of training materials, training planning, and training delivery. The engagement required a complete audit of existing documentation (policies, procedures, guidelines, etc) and the merging of multiple state policies and procedures into new, national versions ensuring more streamlined content!
Following the decision to use Kronos as their new work management system, Japara invited Changeworks to provide a change management approach and training solution, to ensure all impacted carers at their facilities were confident with the new technology. With an emphasis on engagement, business readiness and tailored communications, our change specialist mobilised a team of change champions / super users to assist! Communication events and accompanying communication calendar were launched, with practical, relevant and timely information. And simple scenario-based support materials were developed and delivered in partnership with business representatives, to ensure ownership and retention of knowledge, in-house.
VIC Justice and Regulation
With no option but to upgrade to the latest Oracle release, Changeworks assisted the Department of Justice and Regulation with the planning and execution of a tailored change and training approach, to accommodate amendments to three streams of work. The upgrade involved varying degrees of impact for finance, procurement and manufacturing teams. To ensure users at their multiple Victorian sites were engaged, confident and prepared, our training specialists travelled to each site, delivering instructor-led training.
Relocation, Agile & New Technologies
The change challenge at TFS involved more than just a move from one side of Melbourne to the other, but also the added goal of transitioning to an Agile Office! The solution involved all change cornerstones in action including a Move Plan, and training for the introduction of exciting, new collaboration tools and technologies. A Change Working Group, involving business reps from different parts of the business, worked closely to devise a working agreement, as well as guidelines for the new space. Changeworks has also assisted TFS with the rollout of a new finance loan system, across their national dealer network.
New Finance Management System
To ensure the effective take-up of their new financial management system including a portal and improved reporting capability NSW Treasury required effective an effective training strategy to ensure users had the confidence and competence to make better use of the technology available. The training approach was devised following an internal capability assessment, with a training solution which involved modularised, learning pathways, which were relevant and tailored by role and audience.
Relocation, Activity Based Working, paperlite & new technologies
Forward thinking legal group Macpherson Kelley engaged Changeworks to assist with their transition to activity based working (ABW), a new office refit, introduction of paperlite as well as new technologies for their city and suburban sites. The company recognised the importance and value of engaging external specialists to support them with this critical move. Our change manager worked closely with MK's management team to devise a tailored approach to fit with the unique stakeholder requirements, culture and environment.
Restructure Strategy and Implementation
Changeworks provided a change specialist and communications manager to assist Mind Australia with devising and executing a restructure within their Operations Division. The engagement demanded strategic advice to shape the new organisation, with consideration for the sensitivities necessary from a communications and messaging perspective.
Workday HR & Finance
As a result of the separation from GE, Latitude Financial Services was required to transition to their own, new HR and Finance systems. Given their breadth of experience on similar HRIS change projects including Workday Changeworks was invited to assist with the change planning and implementation for this migration. Our Change and Communication Lead worked closely with the business and project team to devise a successful right fit change approach, leveraging the Workday Adoption Toolkit, as well as our own tools and templates from previous.
Capability Development for Leaders
Following a council amalgamation, Canterbury Bankstown Council experienced a great deal of turnover internally. The movement of people, and loss of knowledge etc gave rise to the need for an investment in leadership capability. Changeworks Consulting were invited to work with the Council to devise a capability strategy, aimed at assisting managers with leading change, as well developing business partnering skills. The deliverable involved a tailored program including a series of practical workshops, a new approach, tips, tools and templates, etc.
Recruitment & Onboarding Program
Changeworks assisted NSW Health with the rollout of Oracle Taleo technology to over 160,000 health entities. Support provided from our team of change, communication and training specialists involved change and communication planning and execution, to ensure changes to policy, process and systems awere understood. The right business engagement was critical, involving the mobilisation of an extensive change champion network. Additional support has involved leadership coaching and gauging business readiness along the way.
Multiple Change Projects
Changeworks has had a long association with STAR, providing change support for various critical initiatives requiring change, communication and training. These engagements have included a new POS, process standardisation, Windows 10 implementation, and the introduction of a new Talent Management technology. Each program has demanded close business partnering with key STAR representatives to ensure the a solid understanding of the outcome, to enable a tailored change strategy, and pragmatic delivery approach to suit the impacted audience groups.
New Marketing Operating Model
CA invited Changeworks to assist with the introduction of a more structured, targeted and effective approach to Marketing not only to save cost and time, but to increase collaboration and consistency pertaining to marketing efforts. The challenge involved a new target operating model for the Marketing function, and an effective transition plan, to ensure understanding and uptake from the business. This included migrating the business to new tools and processes, which in turn drove improved marketing outcomes, and better member messaging and data.
Since 2012, Changeworks has partnered with Stockland to embed a variety of key change initiatives into BAU. These included the introduction of a new property development financials tracking system, the transition to various collaborative applications - including Office 365, Sharepoint etc - and the Learning Hub. The rollout of each project demanded carefully considered change management and training (both planning and execution) supplemented by effective support collateral and training materials, to ensure effective engagement and uptake across all states.
Transformation Change Strategy
RMIT required the assistance of external change specialists to develop an enterprise wide change strategy and approach, to prepare them for their transformation journey, and understand the best way forward. Changeworks partnered with RMIT's College Change Leads to develop a consolidated impacts view across each of the key programs, to understand the degree of audience involvement and touch for each rollout option as well as an overarching change framework, engagement plan, business readiness overview and key milestones.
